Door Sizes and Tolerances
Doors can be fabricated up to 10' high according to your specifications. Doors are manufactured to + 1/16" and - 1/8" of the actual overall size of the doors as ordered. The thickness size is + 1/32" and - 1/32". Warpage tolerance is in according with Federal Specifications ASTMC 1048.

Door Styles & Preparation
Many combinations of continuous and patch rails can be designed with Grand View rails. They can be continuous rails only, patch rails only, or cmbinations thereof. Doors up to 10' high can be produced to your specifications and requirements. The sketches shown here illustrate some of the various possibilities and indicate all preparation requirements.

Glass Thickness
3/8" glass is limited to 84" height. 1/2" or 3/4" glass can be used up to 10' high in all standard frameless doors.

Standard Pivot Distance
2-5/8" from the edge of the door to the center line of pivot. When using walking beam top pivots an adjustable bearing block is supplied in our top rail.

Clearance
Normal factory clearances are 1/8" at vertical edges and a total of 5/16" in height. Differences must be specified.

Edge Work
All exposed edges will be polished. Flat polish is a Grand View standard.

A sophisticated creation that most closely fulfilles the quest for a truly all glass entrance system.

Fittings are produced in high quality aluminum, brass, or stainless steel.

Removable cover plates simplify installation and permit finish changes.

Aluminum finishes can be painted.

Interchangeable inserts may be used to accomodate overhead or floor closures.

Designed for 3/8", 1/2", and 3/4" glass.

Adaptable to single or multiple track installations.

Must use continuous top & bottom rails.

3/8" glass can be used for doors up to 84" in height.

1/2" or 3/4" glass can be used for heights up to 10'.

All of the standard rail models can be used.

Manual operation.

Head & sill track can be clad to match door finish.

Number of rollers vary according to width of door.

Minimum door width is 18".

Straddle lock in bottom rail is optional.

Grand View balanced doors are designed for smoother operation under strong wind conditions and stack pressure that can be achieved with pivoting or conventional butt hinged doors. Fabrication in full framed, frameless models, or balanced doors can use exposed or concealed hinge tubes.

Frameless Balanced Doors
Frameless balanced doors are produced only in P-style having continuous top & bottom rails with a minimum rail height of 4/1/2" with a square shouldered profile. Maximum door height is 10'.

Full Framed Balanced Doors
Full framed balanced doors are manufactured with the above conditions. A weather-strip channel is designed into the stiles. The full-frame doors are also produced in aluminum with brass or stainless steel cladding.

Full frame clad doors will accept glass from 1/4" tempered or laminated up to and including 1" insulated glass.

Special rail heights can be fabricated.

Grand View will provide and install locks, push/pulls, closers, and door holders. If desired, doors will be prepared for other hardware when specified.

Grand View will install concealed panic hardware, three point locks, intermediate pivots, butt hinges, flush bolts and balanced hardware.

Grand View full framed soors can be produced in virtually any size (consult factory).

RS-120
RS-120 system can be used with 3/8" glass or 1/2" glass.

Track length is 2X the panel width.

Maximum sliding panel weight is 264 lbs.

Track will be split when your length exceeds 157".

HSW
HSW system designed for 1/2" or 3/8" glass thickness.

Special designed rollers ensure easy and smooth action around 90° corners.

No floor track or guides required.

When store is closed, double-action, locakable doors can be planned at any location.

The HSW technique enables architects and designers to have fixed panels or operating doors that can be rolled away.
